Amrita Research Labs
We are an R&D Center of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University, consisting of a number of research groups working on the following research topics:
- Amrita RoadWAVE: Amrita RoadWAVE is a research network for exploring research problems and solution strategies related to Vehicular and Roadside Computing (RoadWAVE: Roadside, Wireless, Ad Hoc, and Vehicular Environments). Amrita RoadWAVE is being developed as a part of project, “Intelligent and Interactive Telematics using Emerging Wireless Technologies for Transport Systems” (ITEWS), sponsored by Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC), India
- Amrita CUBE: Amrita CUBE is a research network for exploring research problems and solution strategies related to Ubiquitous and Embedded Computing (CUBE: Calm, Ubiquitous, and emBedded, Environments). Amrita CUBE is being developed as a part of the project, “Techniques for Secure Communication in Ubiquitous Wireless Networks” (TSCWUN), sponsored by Science and Engineering Council (SERC), Department of Science and Technology (DST), India
- WINSOC: Wireless Sensor Networks with Self-Organization Capabilities for Critical and Emergency Applications (WINSOC) is a Specific Targeted Research Project co-funded by the INFSO DG of the European Commission within the RTD activities of the Thematic Priority Information Society Technologies. One of our groups is exploring key R&D issues as a part of this initiative.
- Amrita MMSec: We are exploring research issues in securing multimedia systems for emerging applications such as VoIP and IPTV.
